Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She currently competes within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the older sister of fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport began with her debut as a Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina was awarded a medal of silver in 2007 followed by a medal of bronze in 2008, and a gold medal with gold in 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thai Champion 2016 by the IFMA. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship In 2016, she won she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, the WMC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was against Isa Tiedblad Keskikangas, who was fighting at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The winner was a an unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut came in 2002, at the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She won this fight with a TKO at the end of round 2. Her following two matches were staged during the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing as she took a prolonged absence in MMA. She was back in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa by a majority vote and defeated Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in 2017. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina's striking skills were superior and enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. Antonina Shevchenko received the UFC Contract after this victory. Antonina was given an UFC contract following her victory. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modafferi via split decision fight, after prevailing in the initial fight via an unanimous decision. Antonina bounced off the loss and fought Lucie Prudilova in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler who was able to win the fight by rear naked choke. This was by far the most exciting fight of the night in that bout. Shevchenko was 2-2 in her three subsequent matches she won against Ariane Lipski while losing to Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently knocked out by KO in the second round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
